I’ve just released version 1.4 of Align Assist.
Download the latest version here.
The main improvements in this version are as follows:
- Drag and drop files into the Source and Target boxes.
- TMX memories created by Align Assist can now be opened by Trados directly.
- You can use the MoveTo command to move groups of cells.
About Align Assist
Align Assist is a free utility to align legacy translations and create translation memories (TMs) from them. You can use Align Assist to create TMs in Felix and TMX formats.

Hallo!
I have begun to use Align Assist and am impressed by it.
I would like to use it with a translation-editor that would allow links to TMX files created with Align Assist. Is it possible?
I have created a framework which supports me in translations between English and German in both directions. It works well.
Please give me some advice.
Regards, Patrick Forkin.
Hi Patrick:
Align Assist can save TMs in TMX format, so in principal what you want is possible. Could you give some more details about what you are trying to do?
