Felix Commands

You can translate your XLIFF files using Felix translation memories. See below for descriptions of the various commands. The commands can be accessed via keyboard shortcut, the Felix menu, or the corresponding toolbar icons.

Auto Translate

Automatically translate the open XLIFF file using the memory loaded in Felix. All 100% matches will be translated automatically.

• Keyboard shortcut: F5

Translate to Fuzzy

Automatically translate the segments in the XLIFF file, starting from the current segment, until a fuzzy match (or no match) is reached.

• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + Z

Look up

Look up the current selection in Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + L

Look up Segment

Look up the entire current segment in Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + L

Look up Next Sentence

Select the next sentence, and look it up in Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + Right

Look up Previous Sentence

Select the previous segment, and look up the first sentence in Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + Left

Register a Translation

Add the current selection as the translation for the current query in Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + Up

Register and Look up Next

Register the current selection, and look up the next sentence.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + S

Retrieve a Translation

Get the translation for the current query from Felix.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + Down

Retrieve and Look up Next

Retrieve the translation for the current query, and look up the next sentence.

• Button:
• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + G

View Next Translation

View the next translation suggestion in Felix.

• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + N

View Previous Translation

View the previous translation suggestion in Felix.

• Keyboard shortcut: Alt + P

Save Felix Memories

Save all memories and glossaries open in Felix.
